Sapphire's Cave

[[I apologize. I wasn't aware that you guys don't have a posting order.]]

Kyros had finally gotten a proper nostril-full of the two vampires. Viewing them as less of a threat than he had originally anticipated, Ky returned to his human form. The process was as painful as it was originally, but not nearly as slow. It happened almost instantly; Ky being a natural shapeshifter. He'd always had a knack for it, even from the beginning. The illusion before him flickered and then focused itself, as if someone had finally fixed the television screen that he was seeing the world through. It was mildly convincing, except for the fact that he had seen the second vampire jump out of the tree in pursuit of the running wolf. Kyros-with the acrobatic skills he had been working on recently- scaled the trunk of the tree she stood in with little difficulty. He would find himself standing on a branch at the same height as the vampire's, on the opposite side of the trunk; his bare back pressed against the scratching bark of the tree.

"Oh just run after her, or run away. This whole hiding bit is getting old." Kyros said in a calm, level tone. He wasn't being taunting, or impatient, he was giving the young-looking girl some advice. It would be best if she had ran away right now; he wasn't in the mood for killing, not even vampires. "You have ten seconds to decide, or I'll bring you to your friend in two pieces." Came his final words, followed by a ten second silence in which he waited patiently for her response.

Luna looked up in surprise at the first word the werewolf spoke.She was surprised she hadn't heard him come that come.but,before the ten seconds were up she fled while he was letting her.Hoping he wasn't joking or tricking her,she ran to Kat.

Sapphire was in agony. Any way she moved, the net sent pain shooting through her body. She could feel the silver cutting into her skin. 'You don't need to know who I am, leech.' she mentally snarled through her teeth. She could smell the other vampire getting closer. It was then that Sapphire realized that she would probably die here in this net. 'I am not going to go out without a fight.' she thought, determined. She started squirming again, trying to work her way out of the net. The pain almost blinded her and she started to whimper involuntarily. Slowly, she got her front paws out of the net. She started to claw at the net around her face and got her muzzle free. The rest of her body slowly followed as she wormed her way free. She shook the end of the net off and stood up shakily on four paws. Bleeding from numerous cuts, she stood there, her silvery fur matted with blood. She lowered her head and glared up at the two vampires standing in front of her. From deep in her throat she growled a challenge. 'Come and get me.' she said.

A low, good-humoured chuckle escaped Kyros' lips. He leapt from the tree, landing in a crouching position to absorb the blow of the landing. Straightening up to his full height, he turned his gaze toward the fleeing vampire. He hadn't quite seen where the other one went, but it seemed the frightened she-leech would bring him right to her. His long, powerful legs carried him to the two vampires with relative ease, loping over the thin stream in one step. As he came upon the edge of the clearing that the two blood-suckers stood in, he caught the scents of both blood and smoke.

In the center of the clearing was a small fire, smoldering down as it died, with one of the vampires standing by, holding a wire. Attached to the wire was a silver net, torn to shreds with a werewolf standing nearby. The female wolf was bleeding, but she was standing. She planned to fight the vampires on her own, already at a serious disadvantage. The silence that hung after her threatening growl was cut by the hissing sound of one of his silver blades being drawn from its sheath. He stood in a relaxed stance, blade hanging at his side in his right hand, with a cool, collected expression on his face. His unwavering gaze fell upon the vampire that had trapped the wolf in the net.

"This is hardly a nice way to play." He said, the tip of his blade forming small circles in the air.

Sapphire glanced over in suprise as a new person entered the clearing. He stood there, relaxed, spinning a silver knife. 'Crap.' she thought. 'A Hunter. Just what I need.' But then the wind shifted, and Sapphire got a faceful of werewolf scent. 'That's odd. He smells like a werewolf, but his tools are those of a hunter.' She backed up, keeping the newcomer in her sight, and made to run at him. At the last moment she turned and leapt at the vampire who had originally imprisioned her. She opened her mouth and went for the throat.

Luna saw the wolf lung at Kat.She didn't think that Kat could handle both of them coming at her at once.So instead of standing and watching,she jumped towards the lunging wolf.She wasn't sure how much good it would do but she tried to knock down and pin the wolf down.

Sapphire saw the other vampire jumping for her and clawed at her face when she got close enough.
(sorry it's short. I can't think of anything else.)

Luna jumped back, but had 4 deep cuts running down her cheek.She put her hand to her cheek to stop the bleeding while the wounds quickly healed.From deep in her throat came a primal sound as she dropped her hand and lunged at the wolf again,this time out of pure rage.Her rage and adrenaline lent her body a little extra strength as she hurled herself at the wolf to try and pin it while aiming for its throat.

Kyros was never a big fan of interfering in fights, but he couldn't stand by and watch the injured wolf much longer. It feinted toward him, instantly turning on its heels and charging the vampire that had trapped her. The other vampire-the one with the illusions- tried to intercept. However, it seemed the wolf had a bit more fight in her than Ky had originally though. She turned and clawed at the vampire's face, tearing the cold flesh of the undead creature. The vampire moved back, grasping her face. Suddenly, she launched herself at the wolf in a fit of rage.

At this point, Ky would step in. He would leap forward, cutting at the exposed back of the illusion-wielding vampire with his silver blade. Unlike the claws of a wolf, a wound made from the silver long sword wouldn't heal quite so pleasantly. She was distracted, and not in her right mind, and he had a shot at the base of her spine. With any luck his slash would land a hit, severing her spine and paralyzing her.

Luna wasn't one to let her emotions rule her for long.Not long after she tackled the she-wolf she got her senses back.She realized that she shouldn't have done that and quickly jumped away.She didn't notice Kyros coming from behind her, but as she jumped away from the other wolf,his blade sliced her upper arm.She cried out in pain involuntarily and sunk to her knees.She grasped her injured arm over the cut and scrambled backwards.She was terrified to find out that the sword that had cut her was silver and that the pain was making it hard for her to scramble too far away.All she could really do was hope that Kat would help her.

Sapphire shook her head to clear it. Red and black clouds swam at the edges of her vision and threatened to cut off her vision completely. That tackle by the illusionist had slammed her pretty hard against the nearest tree. She heard the illusionist cry out in pain as the Hunter/werewolf caught her arm with his silver sword.

She stood up, ignoring the screams of pain that her numerous lacerations were causing, and took a deep breath as the clouds came back into her vision. She stumbled around for a bit, slowly getting her balance back. Looking over at the illusionist, she saw that the illusionist had scrambled back, clutching her arm. Sapphire looked over at the other vampire, who was still standing there calmly. Now that the little illusionist was out of the way, she could go right at the older vampire without interference. She only had a few more hits left in her, and if the vampire got the chance to bite her, it would all be over.

She backed up, and slowly started to circle around the older vampire. If she could just get behind her, a quick bite to the neck and then atwist would break her neck, leaving her paralyzed and out of commision for a while. Then she could run.

Why? That just means if one of us can't get to a computer we have to wait. It's more fun, more spontaneous. I thought that's what roleplay was suppposed to be like. Plus, If we get an order going, what'll happen when I'm gone for two weeks? You won't be able to respond until I get back. Don't restart, please.

Luna saw the wolf jump at Kat and knock her over it had bitten into her neck.Luna picked up a stick and feebly threw it at the wolf to try and prevent it from doing too much damage.Then she turned her attention quickly back to the one with the sword.She started clutching her arm again trying to stop the still bleeding wound.She was scared and tried to back up somemore but couldn't.Instead, she grabbed another stick to use as protection and waited for the werewolf to attack.

Kyros felt the familiar pulse of adrenaline as his fellow wolf sank her teeth in the other vampire's throat. The other vampire tried to stop her by throwing a stick, but at most that would only stall her. That kind of wound wouldn't be able to heal in time, and the wolf would be back on her with a vengeance. For now, Kyros only had one thing on mind; giving his fellow wolf a fair shot at killing the vampire that had snared her.

He neared the illusion-wielding vampire, blade poised at throat level. Looking down at her with menacing eyes, he growled a bit. "This isn't your fight anymore than it is mine. Back off and I'll think about not killing you." He snarled down at her, his upper lip curling a bit. At times he forgot that he was still human.

Kat backed up inp pain fro teh wolfs attack. she was used to pain by now and was ready to fight back. she took out 12 silver knifes she had in her pants pocket and threw them at both wolves hitting them in the legs,neck and arms. she grabed luna and ran into teh shadows where her and her firend could be safe.

(Don't you have to apply for a weapon? I mean, you just kinda pulled knives out of nowhere. But, whatever.)

Sapphire saw the vampire slowly pull herself to her feet using the rough wall of stone next to her. The vampire reached back, as if to feel her neck, and before Sapphire could comprehend what was happening, silver knives shot at her, like twisted rain. She dodged most of them, but one caught her on the shoulder and knocked her back a little. She whimpered at the pain, but it was nothing compared to everything else that had happened. She steadied herself, and, thinking only briefly of what she was going to do, she charged at the the vampire barking and mentally screaming as loud as she could in the hopes that it would hurt the vampire's sensitive ears and mind. She leapt, and as she did so, she realized that it was now or never. She had to get this vampire.

Luna wanted to cry out in pain.Kat dragging her into the shadows had moved her arm too much causing her a lot of pain.But she realized that if she scream,she would endanger them.So she covered her mouth to block the sound,but a slight wimper of pain still escaped through her lips and hand.Bloody tears were streaking her face and her arm still bled slightly.she was in pain, hungry, and wanted to go home and sleep just then.

Kyros, like before, spent the first few moments of this next sequence of motions just standing and watching. The werewolf attacked her enemy, and was successful. The vampire recoiled, launching knives at both the she-wolf and Kyros himself. Now having something to focus on, Kyros tore his eyes from the others and focused on the lines of silver heading his way.

Suddenly, it was as if the entire world were underwater, and he was unaffected. The spiralling knives slowed in his vision, as adrenaline pumped through his veins. The first of the blades came toward his neck, but was well off its mark. It slashed through the air beside his head, a comfortable distance away from his flesh, and lodged itself in the tree behind him. The next knife was a bit more concerning, however, as it came toward his torso. Kyros took a quick half-step to his left, toward the blade. However, his half-step brought him well to the left of the blade, allowing it to pass by him, along with another knife which had originally been honing in on his right arm.

Next came knives toward his thighs, which he easily side-stepped like the others. However, while focusing on his lower-body, a final knife came in and gashed his right arm. The wound was deep and painful, but nothing he couldn't fight through. Dropping the sword he had been holding in his right arm, he released a grunt.

From his pocket he produced a small, black knife handle. The handle suddenly split in half, arcing around his hand to reveal the silver-edged blade within. When the handle clicked back in place, he threw it at the older vampire with deadly accuracy. The blade twirled through the air, almost completely invisible in the shadows of the trees, aiming straight for her chest. She disappeared into the shadows, but his knife was still on target, aimed directly for the center of her body. He could tell that they were within the vicinity of the moving blade, because of a muffled yelp coming from the younger of the two vampires.
