Exploring The Castle

"Yeah!" Hina replied curling up into a little purple ball in Jacalyn's lap with its long tail wrapped around its body. Hikari continues to wonder down the hallway in search of a room until she spotted a open door.

Jacalyn chuckled a bit, before petting Hina. "I guess you should go back to Hikari, and I should go find a room, huh?" She asked, after a minute or two of petting.

"Mmm, okay." Hina said jumping off Jacalyn's lap and running out the door to find Hikari. Hikari went into the room and looks around. It's spacious with a crimson red bedspread, a window, and closet full of more clothes, and a desk with a book. Hikari curiously walked over to the desk and picked up the dusty and worn book. She blew and waved away the dust and which had, in gold lettering and beautiful font, "Henrietta" printed on the front of the green cover. "Wow."

"Hello!" Hina said jumping on Hikari's shoulder making her jump. "Hina, don't care me like that!" Hikari blurted out, angry. "Sorry..." Hina said sad. Hikari sighs. "Its okay, and sorry for blowing out on you, look what I found." Hikari said showing Hina the book.

"Thanks"Luna said.She was happy she got the room.She went into the adjoining bathroom and changed back into her clothes and took down and brushed her hair.She also took off the little bit of make up she had put on.she put the dress in the basket and put the basket on the dresser.Her shoes she put by the bed.She was getting hungry because she was heading out to eat when she caught their scents and she hadn't eatten before that.She figured that she could wait until tomarrow night and continued to get ready for bed and making sure no sunlight got in.

Hikari walked out of the room and started walking back to Luna's room.

Luna finished getting ready for bed.Now she was waiting to feel tired enough to fall asleep.She was also waiting for her room to clear of people.But,then she heard Hikari heading towards her room and knew that sleep wouldn't be coming soon.

"Luna! Luna!" Hikari said in a rush coming in the room and started remwining her clothing and tossed her the mysterious book she found in her room.

Luna caught the book and looked at it.It looked pretty old and worn.She saw the title was a name."I think its a diary."said Luna,still looking at the book in her hands.

"Yup, that's what I think as well." Hikari said putting on her pants and shirt and throwing the wardrobes into her basket. Hina sat on Luna's bed looking at the book with great curiosity.

Meanwhile, Jacalyn had found a room, that had dark green painted walls. There was a dark blue canopy bed, and a desk, among other things in the room. The shutters were open, and Jacalyn went over to close them. She drew the curtains, and then looked around the room. The closet held an assortment on fancy clothes. Ball gowns, as well as suits. 'A couple probably shared this room...' Jacalyn thought, as she went about everything else

"Hunters got them, I just know it." Jacalyn thought aloud, as she looked around the room. She imagined that everything had looked the same when those vampires had been around. She smiled at the thought, Jacalyn went over to the desk and rummaged around. There weren't too many things on the desk, random junk. She found a set of keys, which confused her. Looking down, she saw the drawers on the desk had keyholes. Finally finding the correct key for the first hole, she opened the drawer. Papers among papers were in there, all handwritten. Pulling one out, she read it.

Hikari finally got her clothes back o correctly and took the diary with sudden realization. "Hold on, maybe we should go...well you don't look like you don't wanna get outta bed so I'm going to go show this to Jacalyn and bring her back. Hina, you stay here." Hikari said slipping on her boots and rushing out the door to Jacalyn's room.

"Okay." Hina said stretching and laying down.

As Jacalyn read, she heard heavy footfalls coming towards her. She gathered the papers, and put them back in the drawer quickly. She rushed to lock the drawer, and then threw the keys back on the desk. She stood alert, and unemotional as she waited for whoever it was to come into the room.

Hikari puts her foots down and final time before she lid in front of the door way and sighs and she calmly walks into the room. "Jacalyn, Jacalyn!" I found this diary in my room and and i want you me and Luna to read it together so will you?" Hikari said finished her sentence with a huff from all the talking she did. She was quite a natural for talkative things like this.

Jacalyn smiled at Hikari, and nodded. "Sure thing." She walked towards her friend and the door on her way out. No, you right, you should think on it before deciding. Her brain thought, as it fought against the other half in telling about the papers.

Hikari stepped in the room to the sleeping Luna and Hina and sighed with a smile. "Oh well. I don't wanna wake them from their sleep so I guess we can inform them when they wake up." She said pulling up a chair for Jacalyn.

"Okay then." Jacalyn said, uneasily gazing out the door. "Well, let's get started then." She said quietly, as if not to wake the sleeping people. She sat down, crossing her legs patiently.

Hiari quietly clears throat as she opens the diary. The pages are really old and there is a few holes. She looks on the back of the cover which says "Diary of Henrietta Rose".

Jacalyn waited as her friend examined the book.

"Hmm..." Hikari thought before turning a age and seeing a diary entry.

"January 15th. Today is my 16th birthday. I am so glad maybe because i finally have a diary to write in. Finally my brother doesn't have to treat me like a little girl anymore like he usually does. What a scamp. And he seems to be a bit on he pale side as of late. Not to mention the many clothes he has. My sister has been forced to have some of his clothing in her closet. I do feel sorry for her. God know how awful it must behaving them in your own closet. Ugh. I wonder how elder sister is doing as well. She did give me a gift before she left on her trip since she won't be able to make my birthday today.Oh well. At least she didn't forget. - Henrietta"

"Hm, that may explain my room a bit. It has both male and female clothing." Jacalyn smiled, and leaned back in the chair. "I remember when times where like that..." She said, thinking. "But go on, unless you would like to stop."

"Let's read two more entries and call it a night." Hikari said looking onto the next page.

"January 20th. My brother has fallen ill. Its too bad. Ever since I noticed his paleness, he has been acting a bit different lately. Like today when I opened the curtains for him this morning, he yelled at me to close them. I've never seen him like that. He always loved morning sun. I'm starting to get worried. - Henrietta"

"Hm, I think someone got bitten." Jacalyn chuckled quietly. She leaned forward in her chair, a bit more eager. "I wonder what happened next." She said, an edge of excitement to her voice.

"Seems more like a book than a diary if ya ask me." Hikari said eager as well and turns the page with interest.

"January 24th. My parents has gone away on an errand leaving me and my sister to look after brother. He's seems so pale now. A doctor came to see him yesterday. He said his body temperature was very low. What could it mean? And elder sister has't returned yet. She would know what to do. Maybe it's that flu that's been going around? - Henrietta"

"Yes...Maybe he was one of the unlucky people who have very long transformations?" Jacalyn asked, frowning. Unfortunately, she had witnessed it when trying to make a friend. She had just killed the person, just to make their pain end.

"Yes..." Hikari said feeling sorry for the girl. She reads the next page entry.

"January 30th. My brother Allen now sometimes confines himself to his room. He told me that he's not dying physically but in spirit and in heart. His hand was so col that it made me cry when i held it. I wonder why my mother and father has yet to come back. And Sabrina. I am awfully worried my eldest sister. Usualla is very depressed cause of our's family's absences and Allen's illness. She's so timid and sensitive. I must be strong for Allen and Usualla. They're both counting on me. - Henrietta"
